The latest report on Nintendo’s plans (or lack thereof) for new hardware comes from Nikki. The paywall report included conversations with Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa and said that there won’t be any new Switch launched during this fiscal year.

During conversations with Nikki, Furukawa addressed the issue and said that Nintendo is working to mitigate the component shortages affecting Switch production, and said the problem was a top priority for the company.
While there may not be any new Switch hardware launches this fiscal year, Nintendo still has plenty of software for people to look forward to with several first-party games releasing over the next couple of months.
