Nintendo reports that there is no new Switch model being released anytime soon

Nintendo fans waiting for the announcement of a new Nintendo Switch Pro – or any kind of new Switch hardware, really – may want to hold on to hope a little longer after a recent report said the company won’t release any new hardware during the current fiscal year. That runs between now and the end of March 2023, though given the ongoing supply issues affecting various device manufacturers across the industry, it’s not surprising anyway to imagine that Nintendo won’t be releasing a new Switch model any time soon.

The latest report on Nintendo’s plans (or lack thereof) for new hardware comes from Nikki. The paywall report included conversations with Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa and said that there won’t be any new Switch launched during this fiscal year.

For those of you who have been hoping for a new Switch Pro announcement, you’ll know there have been rumors of rumors trying to determine not only what the Switch Pro might look like and how it differentiates itself from the primary switch but also a release timeframe for such a device. Nintendo has yet to announce any specific plans for the Switch Pro, so these rumors remain the same at this time. People speculated last year that Nintendo was preparing to announce the Switch Pro, but it turns out that the reveal was a Nintendo Switch OLED instead.

But no matter what model of Switch a potential buyer is looking for, supply issues have affected the Switch family of devices. During conversations with Nikki, Furukawa addressed the issue and said that Nintendo is working to mitigate the component shortages affecting Switch production, and said the problem was a top priority for the company.

While there may not be any new Switch hardware launches this fiscal year, Nintendo still has plenty of software for people to look forward to with several first-party games releasing over the next couple of months. Splatoon 3 It will be the next big game released and scheduled to drop on September 9th, followed by Bayonetta 3 On October 28. scarlet pokemon And the Violet It will be followed on November 18th with games like Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp And the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 It is still scheduled for their final releases.
